I have not posted any football reports this season or NFL reports. But I just had to post this win over Manchester Utd.

Seahawks 31 Dolphins 23

Also the Seahawks are also 4-0 so far this season.

The victory made Seattle 4-0 for only the second time in franchise history, the other coming in 2013. That team went on to win the Super Bowl behind an historically great defense.

Man Utd 1 Spurs 6

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son ran riot as Tottenham thrashed 10-man Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford to cap off a frantic but fantastic week.

It looked a difficult afternoon ahead for the visitors after Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot after just two minutes, but goals from Tanguy Ndombele, Kane and Son all-but handed Spurs victory before half-time, aided by a controversial Anthony Martial red card.

With the man advantage, Spurs quickly killed off any hopes of a United comeback early in the second half as Serge Aurier marked a highly promising performance with a goal, before Kane ended proceedings with a thumping penalty.

For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a heavy home defeat will perhaps only increase his frustration with the club’s lack of transfer activity, though Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles are reportedly expected to sign before tomorrow’s 11pm deadline.

Eric Bailey replaced Victor Lindelof in United’s only change from the side that last beat Brighton in the Premier League, while Son shook off a hamstring injury to claim a place in the starting XI for Spurs, who handed Sergio Reguilon his Premier League debut.

The second half continued as the first half ended, with Aurier finishing off a fine Spurs move after an incisive Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg pass to give the visitors a four-goal lead, before Kane made it 6-1 with an emphatic penalty after Paul Pogba brought down Ben Davies.

“He has never stopped showing, I always told that I never had a problem with him. Very polite, very educated, behaving always well, he is training well, sometimes I want different things from him on the pitch. That is more about his qualities as a player than other things. He is a fantastic player as everyone knows.

“We have a very good squad, it is going to be difficult for everyone to play. We managed to play a crazy week with four matches and managed to play all four with players of quality and today we had fresh legs.”

“What a day for us. We were really on it, mindset wise and in the warm up. We go behind after a minute. But it shows the mindset how we responded. Even after the sending off we had to be ruthless. Second half was about being focused and winning comfortably.

“You never want to go behind early but if you react you can switch the momentum. You have to be up for the big games and be ruthless in both boxes. After that first minute they didn’t cause any problems.

“When you play so many games it is difficult but there is competition for places and togetherness. It is the one last push before the break.

That was about as bad as it could get for United. Completely humbled and humiliated by the manager they sacked nearly two years ago. There’s still another day to go in the transfer window – but do United fans have any faith they will be able to do the required business to realise their pre-season ambitions of mounting a title challenge?
