The Spiritual Meaning Of The Super Worm Moon

Spring is now in session, and things are moving quickly. Considering it is Aries season, and Aries is governed by go-getter Mars — the planet of assertion, initiation, and energy — this very much goes hand in hand. The spiritual meaning of the March 2021 full moon, however, is speaking to the delicate balance between yin and yang; the sacred equilibrium of the divine feminine and sacred masculine.

Aries fights for its individuality with passion, while Libra meets another halfway, taking the more diplomatic route. More importantly, Venus will be sitting at exactly 8 degrees, forming a pivotal and significantly healing conjunction with the sun and the wounded healer, Chiron, in Aries. With the moon sitting across the way at 8 degrees Libra, hidden themes revolving around balance, relationships, finances, and perhaps even one’s love language will be revealed.

Something else ironic about this is, Libra is symbolic of the sacred balance that exists between the divine feminine and sacred masculine, and this lunar phase is no exception. Aries is symbolic of one’s sense of self, individual identity, and levels of assertion; Libra has everything to do with the relationships, compromise, and justice. When you sum it all up — the moon being emotional, the sun representing your ego in the physical dimension, and Chiron acknowledging past wounds — you can see that there’s a lot more to this lunation than meets the eye.

This full moon is shedding light on deep-rooted emotions and residual energies that could be potentially triggering, especially when it comes to things that make you feel vulnerable. However, this is where your power lies, and these Aries placements are here to help you find the will and courage to overcome whatever’s been holding you back. Though Aries wants to take action toward its passions, while Libra connects and relates to others, Mars conjunct the North Node in Gemini is encouraging you to discern the difference between the facts versus the emotional trigger.

Make no mistake, there’s a lot of work to be done in the weeks leading up to and after this lunation. Something that’s been buried deep in your unconscious mind — with regard to relationships, passion, and self-love — is coming up for review, and chances are you’ve already begun doing the work. It’s also important to remember that both Venus and Mercury are transiting through signs where they feel challenged, but there’s no need to be discouraged. In the meantime, reflect and consider the following: What kind of foundation have your relationships been built upon? How can you show up for others and yourself, simultaneously?

The March Super Moon

Without the moon the sky would be a very lonely place.

For one thing the night would be so much darker.

And I doubt we would be held on a steady course.

Without the moon the sky would be a very lonely place.

The stars would still shine I guess.

But without that moon that steady partner throughout all our days and nights.

We would surely be more alone I know it.

I get such a thrill even now when I see it sitting there.

So beautiful.

A wonderful reflected light.

Like this moon.

You hold me in a special way.

I cannot define it.

Without you my life would also be a lonely place.

Like the sky without the moon.

I would lack the light that keeps me here.

Life on Mars?

David Bowie

It’s a god-awful small affair
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling, “No!”
And her daddy has told her to go
But her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she’s hooked to the silver screen

But the film is a saddening bore
For she’s lived it ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools
As they ask her to focus on

Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man!
Look at those cavemen go
It’s the freakiest show
Take a look at the Lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man! Wonder if he’ll ever know
He’s in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?

It’s on America’s tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow
Now the workers have struck for fame
‘Cause Lennon’s on sale again
See the mice in their million hordes
From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads
Rule Britannia is out of bounds
To my mother, my dog, and clowns

But the film is a saddening bore
‘Cause I wrote it ten times or more
It’s about to be writ again
As I ask you to focus on

Mind the phone

There are various theories explaining the meaning of this song. According to someone, it’s about a girl rejected by the society for her ideas, reflecting upon her life and what’s happening around her (the fights between gangs, TV shows, Beatlesmania, the Iron Curtain, etc.). She is so disgusted that she wishes to leave forever and she wonders if at least on Mars there is life. Mars is therefore last hope for a better life.

It’s a God-awful small affair
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling no
And her daddy has told her to go

“The girl with the mousy hair” is a girl like many others, disappointed and betrayed by an empty and depressing reality that crushes dreams, kills hopes and precludes the possibility of looking to the future. For that reason, we exclude ourselves from the world and we look for an escape in a fictitious reality, perhaps more glamorous, more pleasant, where everything apparently seems simpler. And then, with bitterness, we get it asks ourselves if Mars, the alternative to the contingent reality, really exists. And given that it exists, if it’s accessible to all.
Maybe it’s not, but why not believe that there can be a better and alternative reality? Why not dream about a different life than the one you live, why not hope for something else? Perhaps hopes and dreams can push us to change something, to not get used to this liquid society without values, that kills who doesn’t adapt himself to its schemes. Perhaps it’s worth believing that in an unspecified, abstract or ideal place, there is a better and more worthy life to be lived than the one we are living.
The girl’s question thus becomes the question of all of us, the one that feeds dreams and keeps hope alive. Is there life on Mars? We walk in his submerged dream, towards the place with the best view, in order to discover the answer.

Bowie, at the time of Hunky Dory’s release in 1971, summed up the song as “A sensitive young girl’s reaction to the media.” In 1997, he added: “I think she finds herself disappointed with reality… that although she’s living in the doldrums of reality, she’s being told that there’s a far greater life somewhere, and she’s bitterly disappointed that she doesn’t have access to it.

I’m still in my retreat
I feel completely safe
Yet totally uncomfortable
I may as well be trapped in a web
I need to be free from this confinement
I have to grow
I have to be
I’m still fearful
Is it really safe to emerge?
Is it really springtime?
A time of rebirth
A time of carnival
A release from something
Something beyond my understanding
I have been waiting for freedom
You cannot wait forever
And while I feel safe in my solitude
I have to fly
It’s my natural way
Outside under the sky is where reality is
It all sounds too good to be true
But really I have to fly
So I will
I will be
I will emerge

This is me ranting again (Grumpy Old Man Syndrome)
Forgive my incorrectness G**H

Let’s be honest
The world has always been a scary place
The Roman Invasion was pretty scary
The English Civil War was pretty scary
The Black Death was pretty scary
WWI was pretty scary
WWII was pretty scary
The Cold War was pretty scary
The Korean War was pretty Scary
The Vietnam War was pretty scary
The Falklands war was up there
But today
Where A virus is pretty scary
Today in a sane world
In a world where we all treat each other nice
Ye right?
The news reads and not even a top story
Fourth on the list after Megan and Harry

A COP suffered a collapsed lung after being stamped on by thugs during last night’s “Kill the Bill” protest riot in Bristol.
Twenty police officers were injured as a “mob of animals” left cops with broken arms and ribs, set fire to police vans and hurled fireworks during violent clashes.

Ok not up there with WWI I admit
But what struck me was
The Media coverage
We are often lied to
What to believe and what not to believe
On the wall amongst all these pictures
Of fighting
Angry people
Burning vehicles
Windows being broken
Silly people skateboarding through fire
Ye right? The selfie brigade
There on the walls
We can read all the violence
See all the chaos
Be shocked and upset
Helpless and distraught
But for some reason
We are in a world gone back in time
The world is still a scary place
The Florence of Savanarola was pretty scary
The Spanish inquisition was pretty scary
Mary Tudors Britain was a pretty scary place
Puritan Britain was pretty scary
The Nazi ideology was pretty scary
But today 2021
We are forbidden to read the word FUCK
That’s pretty scary

550 million years ago it was thought that Britain was actually south of the
equator. Over time it has gradually moved northwards to its present location.
550 million years ago Warwickshire was covered by a temperate sea full of
trilobites and worm like animals. Around 300 million years ago Britain lay across
the equator and central England was covered by a humid swamp. As Britain
headed northwards it became very hot and dry , even desert like. During the
Jurassic period, when dinosaurs roamed the earth Warwickshire was once again
under water, marine reptiles, sea urchins and corals covered the area.
Fossils are the preserved remains of ancient animals and plants. They have to be
at least 10,000 years old. There are two main types: body fossils, which are the
remains of a plant/animals body and trace fossils, which show a plant/animal
lived in a certain place, such as footprints and nests. Fossils can be
permineralised where the original material is replaced with minerals. Insects or
plants can be preserved in resin or amber.

Warwickshire under the Sea

200 – 145 million years ago
Britain had now drifted to about 40° north. The supercontinent Pangaea began to split apart and the Atlantic Ocean was beginning to open up. A shallow tropical/sub-tropical sea, less than 100m deep, encroached over Britain covering the older rocks, bringing totally different environmental conditions. With the exception of the White Lias they represent well-functioning marine ecosystems with rich food chains and are very fossiliferous (Brachiopods; Molluscs including oysters and scallops; ammonites and belemnites; fish; crustaceans; coral; echinoids and crinoids; marine reptiles ichthyosaurs. Relatively small changes in sea conditions led to the variety of rocks. Together these rocks underlie the Warwickshire Scarplands of the south-east of the county.
